What are international student (non-resident) tuition waivers?
Some universities and colleges want to encourage the enrollment of international students, and therefore may set aside a number of non-resident tuition waivers in an international student pool. The waivers typically cover the cost of the out-of-state portion of tuition; the student must still pay the in-state portion of tuition.
